Science and Technology programmes are developed in each grade and reflect the philosophy of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Science and Technology Syllabus document. The intention is to foster within students a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world around them.

Students are provided with opportunitites to learn about both naturaul phenomena and the built environment. They are guided to think and act critically and creatively based on evidence and reason, and to participate responsibly in developing innovative working solutions and ideas in response to posed questions or problems.

Science and technology are closely linked through their practical application in promoting genuine learning through making meaningful connections across the broader K-6 curriculum. Using evidence to make decisions and solve problems through authentic learning applications will provide students with the skills and capabilities to succeed in a rapidly developing technolgocial world.
